My wife, Eleanor and I both grew up in Christian homes in the Abbotsford area and met in Bible school, now known as Columbia Bible College. We were married in 1967 and lived in Burnaby for 1.5 years. We bought our first house in the Abbotsford area in 1969 and started attending Central Heights at that time. I continued commuting to my job in Burnaby for another 18 years.

We then took over my parents' dairy farm in 1984. Although we sold the cows in 1999 we still live on the farm and are semi-retired. I do help neighboring farmers with milking and fieldwork as required. I also do maintenance at a funeral home a few hours every morning.

Both of our children, a son and a daughter, grew up attending Central Heights and were also baptized and joined the church. Both are married now and attending different churches with their spouses. Our daughter and husband have three children, our only grandchildren.

Over the last 34 years at Central Heights it has been my privilege to be involved in many areas of ministry in the church. At present I serve as an elder in the church and consider this ministry a privilege and a joy. It can be both challenging and rewarding. Christ will build His church, praise God.
