Colin Ashton [High School]

A Youth Pastor for Life?  That’s the question people are starting to ask.  Now that I’ve been a youth pastor for 10+ years the question comes up.  Do they think that I’m getting old?  That can’t be the case, it’s way too early in my life to be contemplating that line of thinking.  My response to people is that I’m exactly where I believe God has called me to be… working with high school and college students.  Never wanting to feel too comfortable and always looking for what God is going to do next, I love the challenges and joys of youth ministry very much.

Stuff ‘bout me:

• The love of my life is Karen and we have 3 kids… Madison, Koby, and Reegan. 
• I’m a grad of Columbia Bible College and actually spotted a cute girl outside my dorm room and married her 2 ½ years later in May 1995. 
• I’ve lived in southern BC all my life and don’t know what a real winter feels like. 
• But I understand and value the concept of having a Starbucks on every other corner. 
• I like the Canucks but mock the Canuck fan if you know what I mean.
• I’m one of 3 pastors in my family.
• I’m bald, but I’m the only bald pastor on staff with the power to grow it back!
