Phil Toews [Middle School]

My name is Phil Toews. I have been working and volunteering in this church since 1997/1998 (my grade 12 year). Through out my time volunteering God began to place the call on my life for ministry. Central Heights has been the place where I really began to grow in my giftings, and my love for youth ministry.

I am blessed to be able to work with an age bracket of students who are in an extremely formative place in their lives. My desire is to challenge them through loving relationships to decide at this age to live for Jesus Christ, and to follow His Word’s direction for their lives… now in middle school ministry this looks a little different, and it requires a bit of creativity, but I love the challenge.

I am married to my best friend Rebecca Sian… she also happens to be my grade 9 Sunday school teachers daughter... we have one son whose name is Finn.

Things I love to do…

• Go on dates and eat curry
• Slingshot paintball
• Watch movies
• Texas hold’em on Thursday nights
• Work in my yard and garden
