Worship and the Arts

God is a creative God…he doesn't color with just one or two crayons. He uses the whole box. As such, the Arts are a significant "crayon box" through which we can express our love for Jesus Christ, and encourage his people. At CHC, we are working to mobilize our "artists", whether musicians, actors, dancers, videographers, writers or painters. To be honest, we have a ways to go, but we are asking the Lord to bring to us people with a passion to use their gift for God's glory.

Some of the colors we are presently using:

• Worship teams…a collection of musicians dedicating their gifts to leading us in song
• Choirs…families of singers who raise their voices to God's glory
• Drama…on occasion we use drama to present truth…a work in progress
• Writers…a team of people who are learning to communicate God's truth by writing dramatic sketches…a work in progress.
• Dance…God is opening our hearts to the physical expression of his powerful truth set to music
• Visual images…art-work presented as a tool by which God's truth and character can be revealed.
