Global is such a large word until you realize that you are a part of the global picture. One step out of your house and you have entered the global journey where billions of people are trying to find purpose and meaning in their lives.
Our interest in Global matters comes from Jesus. He instructed his followers to invite the entire world to believe in Him.
Jesus was clear about why he came. He came to seek and to save what was lost. Luke 19:10 (NIV). That is exactly what he did. He came personally seeking. He came with a message of salvation. He did miracles to add weight to his message. Ultimately he gave his own life and rose again from the dead to prove the credibility of his Words and Works. It was God's rescue plan from beginning to end.
That was just the beginning. He set in motion a world wide following which has transformed the World as we know it 2000 plus years later. He was quite specific on His departure that his followers would continue to share the good news.
First he told them what to do. "go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit." Matthew 28:19 (NLT)
Second he told them how to do it. "when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power and will tell people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8 (NLT)
This pattern of sharing the good news is true of Central Heights Church as well. As a result we have a number of individuals who have committed their lives and families to telling the Good news of Jesus Christ to those who haven't about Christ locally and around the world. This is an invitation for you to consider your part. We would like you to think about how God would want you to respond. You can participate in one of four ways.
|1.||You can Pray:||commit to praying for a missionary|
|2.||You can Give:||contribute financially to a missionary, project or ministry|
|3.||You can Participate:||share your faith in a missional setting|
|4.||You can Partner:||bringing increased missional passion to CHC|
