Car Ministry

There are many people with needs that we connect with here at Central Heights Church. One of the needs we commonly run into is getting a vehicle to enable single moms and others to get back and forth to work. Sometimes it is the difference between being able to get a job and starting on the road to self-sufficiency, and being unemployed. The emotional boost of receiving a vehicle is often worth more than the vehicle itself.

For many of our people, the selling price and the bother of finding a buyer isn't worth the effort or the money received from selling. By donating the vehicle to the church, it allows us to pass it on to someone who is thrilled to receive it, and the church will issue a tax receipt for it's appraised value.

For those giving the vehicle, we request that it be in roadworthy shape. We do not have a lot of funds to repair the vehicle. If you wouldn't give it to your daughter, then we can't give it to one of those that we have connected with and are trying to help.

For those receiving vehicles, we ask to commit to the process we call "Changes". We are interested in making a difference in your life... physically, mentally, emotionally, and most of all spiritually. What starts as a car can be a life-changing experience of a relationship with God the father, and Jesus the redeemer. And we as the church family want to be a part of your life, as well as have you be part of our family.

We have helped many people over the last number of years. Some of the vehicles we have gifted:

If you have a vehicle you would like to contribute, or have a need that we can help you with, please contact the church office - email: info@centralheightschurch.com or phone 604-852-1001. Our volunteers and staff are enthusiastic about the difference this ministry can make in a life.

Some of the vehicles that are offered to us are good, except for... Often the required repairs don't need expensive parts, but the labour is too costly. However, if you are willing to volunteer some time and have mechanical skills and knowledge, contact the office – you could well be the difference between someone receiving a vehicle, and none being available. This is a wonderful service opportunity, a chance to give back!

And a great big thank you to the many volunteers who make this ministry a success.
