Talking about Worship...

Wow, June sure was a busy month! 

At the beginning of the month we were so blessed to be able to host the talented Liberty Quartet, from Idaho.  To our surprise, local group, Father’s Daughter shared the evening with them. All that attended left with a smile on their face.

June 20 we hosted the well known African Childrens Choir. We had a full house in Nikkel Hall for that, even using Fusion for overflow. The choir of 21 children from Kenya and Uganda, amazed and blessed the audience that evening. The energy and excitement these children had was definitely contagious! Each child shared their dream of what they hope to be when they grow up. How encouraging to see the hope these children have, in spite of their circumstances. God is truly at work in each of their lives!

Then we wrapped up the month with our return to the worship centre on June 27. It had been a little over two years since we had worshipped together in that room. What an amazing time we had, being able to come together in one service to celebrate the faithfulness of God. It will obviously take some time to work out the kinks, now that we are back there, but that didn’t seem to get in the way of our worship that morning. A huge thank you to all those that worked so hard to have things ready to go for that Sunday!

Leadership...

Zena DeFehr is our Director for Worship Arts. She is working with Worship leaders Chris Boschman, James Groening and Marjorie Friesen and their teams of gifted musicians. A really exciting development is the "youth movement" we are seeing on some of our teams, as some of our talented students and young adults are stepping up.
