1. Connecting BAPTISM and MEMBERSHIP
It only makes sense that if a person would want to identify
himself to the person of Christ, that he would want to identify
himself to the people of Christ. Baptized individuals have
characteristics in common with each other that would naturally
attract them to each other.
Those identifiable characteristics are:
- Your obedience to Christs command to be baptized.
- The courage you exercised to put your faith stake in the
ground.
- A heightened awareness of your responsibility to live
out your faith.
- The identifiable mark of discipleship in Baptism.
Gathering together with others who have identified themselves
to a watching world who needs to know, is where
the concept of membership begins.
