Our Strategy
The Path of Following Jesus
1. Make Friends
- "A friend of tax collectors and sinners." (Matthew
11:18-19)
- "For God so loved the world; for God so loved ME
not
as a project, and not because He knew I would believe
- God genuinely desires a relationship with You and Me.
- Response: I need to see the world the way Jesus
saw the world. People mattered to Jesus. So, people matter
to me.
2. Talk About Spiritual Things
- Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks
you to give the reason for the hope that you have. (1 Pet
3:15)
- "Men of Athens I see that you are very religious
(Acts 17)
- "For God did not come to condemn the world but to
save the world through Him. (John 3:17)
- Response: Be gracious and truthful. (John 1:14)
3. Special Events - Invite A Friend
- A Special Event is an event where the churched individual
feels comfortable enough to invite their unchurched friend.
George Barna/American Christian Demographics: 1 out of every
4 people would come with you to church if simply asked.
- Response: Just ask someone to come.
4. Join a Care Group
- Life change happens in small groups.
- A place to connect in prayer.
- A place to develop deep friendships.
- A place to have a learning experience with God and His
Word.
- Philippians 2:1-4
like minded, having the
same love, being one in Spirit and purpose.
- John 17:20-23 "
my prayer is that they may be
one".
- Response: Join a Care Group.
5. Grow Deeper
- Establishing roots of maturity in Christ. (Ephesians 3:17-5:2)
- Response: Be intentional about your spiritual growth.
6. Serve/Lead in a Ministry Opportunity
- "Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve
and give His life as a ransom for many. " (Matthew
20:28)
- Network Course: Discovering your passion, unique place
of service, personal style and your God-given gifts
- Response: Serve!
7. Go
-
and make disciples of all nations. (Matthew
28:19-20)
-
you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and
in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.
(Acts 1:8)
**How healthy, on a scale of 1-5, are you in these areas
of your spiritual journey? (1 being low)
