Projects

 

We have identified various projects and funds that are not funded through our Operating Budget. These are funded primarily through the directed gifts of those who have a special interest in these areas. Some of the funds also employ fund-raisers to bring in funds for the project.

If you are interested in giving towards these special projects and funds, please designated your gift as identified below.

Approved Projects:

Car Ministry - We receive many cars as donations. These vehicles are passed on to needy single moms, families in special circumstances, and others who we are working with to make significant financial and spiritual changes in their lives. The cost of processing these vehicles, and ensuring they are road-worthy and safe is covered by this fund. Some vehicles that are less appropriate for the ministry are sold to help fund other repairs.

Women's Emergency Fund - Our Women's Ministry is very active, involved in the lives of women both in our church and in our community. We help some of these women get fresh starts, or make changes in their lifestyles through these funds that are available under the direction of our Women's Pastors.

New Missionary Fund - Our Operating Budget funds the missionaries that we currently support. However, during the year as new missionaries apply for support, this fund transitions the support until the next budget can pick up the needed funding. This allows us to respond quickly to those who are heading out to the missions field.

Capital Expense Fund - Faced with an aging building, we find ourselves with major repairs, such as replacing an air-conditioning/heating unit, with insufficient funds in the Operating Budget to cover the cost. This fund allows us to carry out necessary repairs on a timely basis without overburdening the Operating Budget.

Dick Hiebert Support - Dick directs our Caring Ministries. These include Divorce Care, DC4K (Divorce Care for Kids), Boundaries, and Relationships Courses. While partially supported by the church, Dick is responsible to raise some of his support through fund-raising efforts.

Building Project Fund - While we do not have an actual project at this time, we anticipate something in the near future, and are raising funds to that end.

Library - Funds are solicited to help us increase the number of books and other materials in our library, and replace items as they wear out.
